My Dream Puppy Comments
Misti 5/7/07
Harley is beyond what I was hoping for. He flew in with four little white dogs...poodles I think.
When I stood in the hanger and called his name he peeked out. It was the cuttiest thing I
had ever seen.
I was met with kisses.....and more kisses.
we played most of the night. The next day I took him to the vet. It's a new hospital where
my sister takes her dogs. I really love this vet. He was so good to Harley. He also
could not believe how beautiful and big he is. He called him a "MAGNIFICANT SPECIMEN'
of what a boxer should be. He stated I bet you didn't get him from around here. I proudly
told him about you and your boxer line.
Harley has the hang of the doggie door already...he is so smart. He loves my sisters
hound dogs. Hope he doesn't learn to howl.;
Misti, I hope you like the pictures of Gracie. I have included some varied ones to show you how big she is. My vet says she needs to loose 5 lbs but I don't believe her. We just enjoy her every day. She is such a good dog. I hope that we can get another good one from this next litter you are expecting in December. I hope to hear from you in December. Sincerely, Theresa 11/29/02
Dear Misti, I am writing today to let you know how I am doing at the wonderful age of 1 year and 3 days! I have also enclosed some pictures so you can see what MY home looks like-it is a wonderful home. My mommy (Linda) and daddy (Duane) are very nice parents. Daddy keeps telling me that I am pathetic and very spoiled. Mommy just laughs at daddy and also tells me I am spoiled--but that is followed by a hug and a kiss. My sister & brother are only her part of the time. Daddy was married before mommy so they live with their mommy in another house during the week. I look forward to the weekends though as I know they are coming out to see ME! Brother boxes with me and plays ball in the backyard, and sister likes me best when it is nap time and I'm sitting and being quiet. My mommy and I are velcroed together. I like being with her all the time and I attached myself at the very beginning. You remember how little I was when my parents picked me up? Well, during my first week in my new home, whenever I got the chance, I managed to put myself in my mommy's arms or on her lap. She would watch TV, read a book, or just sit and hold me--I liked that! And don't get me wrong -- whenever mommy was not looking, daddy would pick me up and carry me around also -- there were many 9 PM TV shows that found me watching from atop my daddy's chest as he lay on the couch. Nightime was most interesting. Daddy put me in this box that looked like a cage -- I cried and then I found out that my mommy cried too -- so I cried a little louder. It worked! Daddy came and got me within the hour and put me in bed next to my mommy. I decided the best place for me was right on her pillow and right on her neck. I loved bedtime for the first month -- I still like bedtime, although mommy says I'm too big to share her pillow now. So, I start out as a very good dog at the foot of the bed or at least kinda toward that end -- and then after mommy & daddy are comfortable, I wedge myself up the middle--then I get mommy all to myself-- and then daddy tells me afain how very spoiled I am. Other than nighttime, I have a lot of play time. Whenever mom (and dad) gets home from work, I have a lot to catch up on. I have 2 hippos, 3 balls, a tug-of-war rope, a duck, a frisbee, and a pair of dumbbells--and thouse are just my inside/soft toys. I also have 2 outside balls. I really like th weekends as mom usually gets up with me about 6:30 - 7 and then we play until the rest of the family gets up--2 full hours of playtime, just for ME! I have a grandma that has stage 1 Alzheimer's. When I was only 4 days in my new home, I went to visit her at her home. She held me and started crying--then she held me even tighter. I curled up in her lap and we became instant frineds. She has this chair that moves with big wheels--when she comes to visit me now at my house, I chase her chair and bark at the wheels. Grandma just laughs. then when she stops, I sit on the loveseat next to her and kiss her neck. She likes my kisses and tells me that I am the "kissy-ness dog she has ever known", but she never moves her neck and when I sit down quietly she pets me and keep talking to me--so, I know she likes my kisses. About 6 momths ago, mommy and I went to school. I liked meeting my other 4-legged frineds--mom called them dogs and they are really nice creatures. I'm a BOXER and you know that is ver special! Anyway, we made it through 3 classes and then our instructor got sick.....I also was not making any higher grade than a C. Mom said I wanted to play way too much...but what did she expect, when she took me to meet all my other frineds--aren't friends suppose to play together? Anyway, mommy is looking into another school for her and I, so hopefully in late April I can go back to school and meet some new friends. I promised mom I would make and A--Just for her! I really like my home with my new family. Daddy says I am mommy's whole life and love which makes me very happy because I really like my mommy's kisses and hugs. Whenever you are down, call my mom & daddy, I know they would love for you to come see me and I would like to see you too! I'll ask mom to send some more pics as I get bigger. In the meantime, here are pictures from my first year--enjoy them. (I LOVE THE CAMERA). See you soon....with love, Madam (Mademoiselle Tigre).
She is my baby and the light of my life--thank you for letting me have her, come see us, LInda 3/11/01
Jackson has a sweet loving personality and loves people. We really love him. Thanks, Karen & Jenna 12/27/05
Hey Misti, Just thought I would give you & Jody an update on the little princess. She is absolutely wonderful in the house, she hasnt had any accidents or chewed up anything. I wish I could take her to work with me every day but I'm not allowed to. In the business park that I work in, right across the street from our office there is a business that has 2 Boxers there everyday. I'm not sure what type company it is but I look out my window everyday and see the 2 of them. Some day I hope to be able to bring her to work, but as it stands now she is always so happy to see me when I come home. We go for 3 walks a day, 1 in the morning, 1 when I get home from work, and 1 in the evening. Friday night after getting home from work I decided that I really needed to get my car washed, so I got her in the car and we drove down to the car wash center. She has at least 3 families come up to her and pet her and tell her just how beautiful she was. She just loves running errands with me. SHe just sits in the passenger seat of the car like a perfect angel. On Sunday we found out where one of the hiking trails is by our house so we are planning on checking that out next weekend when it's not raining. On Sunday evening after it had dried up a little bit around here she went rollerblading with me. I haven't even put my rollerblades on for about 8 years now. She was great though, she stayed off to the side of me, kept perfect pace and didn't pull on the leash once. We are going to have to start donig that more often. But I will tell you, she was tired afterwards! I am having so much fun with her, she is just an absolute love. And I'm so glad that she is my new companion. Katie 1/17/06
Hey Misti, It's Aaron... its funny you wrote me today because I just walked out of the Vet having given one of the attendants your email address in regards to a boxer puppy. Her name is Erin and should be writing you sometime in the near future. As for Toby, he's doing great...weighs 63 lbs at 1 year and aside from being neutered hasn't had any significant problems! It was a wonderful experience dealing with you and your family. I hope all is well, I'll upload some pics of him in the next few days. Aaron 2/7/06
Hello It's me again, I have been talking to my parents about how they need a dog and I mentioned that they should get a little female boxer - my mom went for it, but she has to ask my dad, I am almost positive that he will go for it. (He absolutely loves Louie!) The only dogs we have are Louie and our other dog who is a male boxer/black lab cross and he has severe kidney damage (was born with it) and we don't know how long he is going to be with us. They were looking to add another dog sometime soon anyway. Since we are so pleased with Louie, we want to get another dog from you, I was wondering if you were expecting andy puppies in the beginning of spring, at least a month or 2 from now and what color the parents are. We will be looking for a female puppy around the age of 8-9 weeks, I was leaning towards a dark reverse brindle, but you never know who you will fall in love with until you see them. I am preparing information for my parents so they can start planning for a new arrival, Hopefully we can get another from you. Thanks so much, Charlotte PS Louie is still doing great--- 2/14/06
Hi Jody & MIsti, hope all is going extremely well for you. As promised, we want to keep you up to date on Chloe. She is doing just great, 40 lbs all ready!!! She is just a joyu to have with us, she is quite the character and likes to make us laugh alot. We love her very much. Jon & I have been throwing around the idea of either breeding Chloe ot picking another puppy. We really think your new dog Duke looks fantastic and right now, would be our pic to breed with Chloe, or pick a puppy of his. We have been watching your web site for Duke's puppies but figure it's probably too soon yet. Would you please let us know when and if his puppies will be available. Sincerely, Jon & Caroline 2/14/06
Hey There, Just wanted to send you off a quick picture so you can see how Gizmo has grown. He is such a good pup. He has become apart of our family and loveeesssss to cuddle with everyone that will give him any form of attention. Thanks again, Erin
Hi Misti, I hopy your well on teh mend and on the road to recovery. If your like me, you probably don't stay down long. I just can't wiat to lay some love on that baby. We are all set up for him and ready to spoil, you know how that goes. Chloe is doing great, leafing and teaching every day. She is very loved as well as will the new boy. We tossed some names around but the dictionary adjective for major reads: larger or greater; noteworthy or conspicuous, so we feel the name Major will probably fit him just fine. Thank You for the up to date pic's he looks healthy, wonderful and we can't wait to meet him. Sincerely as always, Jon & Caroline 3/9/06
Hi Misti, Diesel has sprouted like a weed in the las t6 weeks. OMG I wish you could see him! He now lives with Tash and her fiance'. I didn't want her to take him because they have a pool & I was afraid he would fall in and get caught in the pool cover. But she said he stays clear of the pool. I went to visit last weekend after church and the little stinker walked out on the diving board! He just looked at me like look at me grandma! That's what Tash call me when she talks to him. When she says your going to grandma's he gets excited and CRAZY! I quit my job and started my own business and the vet is down the street. Well, last week he had a Dr. Appt and when she got off the e-way she said do you want to stop and see grandma? He was in the back seat lying down and jumped up front when she said that. When they left he was looking out the back window like, "Hey grandma come with us". Just Priceless!! I just love and miss him so much. Diesel is a character to say the least. Tash says he's so sassy and bossy most of the time. For as small as he was he has a mighty, strong and confident personality. He will try to be the boss if you let him any chance he gets. He pushes them to the limit! at times. Getting Diesel was very good for Vegas-they are so good together-and even though he is getting bigger, Vegas deals with him graciously, altough I think every other weekend is just the right amount of time for them to spend together. Vegas usually sleeps alot on Sunday and Monday! God Bless, Anita 4/5/06
Hello, I'm writing you to inform you that a tragic accident happened yesterday with Bruiser. Unfortunately he died. I haven't stopped crying since last night. We are so extremely heartbroken, he was like one of our children. I just wanted to THANK YOU, and tell you what an amazing dog he was. He was the best well behaved dog I've ever been around, and anyone who meet himfell in love with him. He would protect our daughter, Rachel, if we told him, "go watch Rachel" he would run right up to her and kiss her on the cheek and stay by her side. He was an amazing dog, more than we ever hoped for in a dog. We will miss him tremendously! It will be hard to get over his death. But anyway I just wanted to say thank you and let you knwo how impressed we were with him. Here are some recent pictures of him taken this past week. Thanks again, Brittany 4/15/06
Dear Jody & Misti, Just a short note to update you on our boy. He had his 1 1/2 year check up yesterday and his shots. He is fit as a fiddle. He is such a joy and companion to us and we are so pleased to have him. He is very protective where we are concerned and a real hoy in our lives. He loves the grandchildren and eveyone at the vet's office loves to see him come in. We are always getting great comments from everyone who sees him. We reccommend you all to anyone wishing to own a puppy. We love him so and want anyone to know if they are thinking of owning one of your puppies, that it would be an excellent choice. You can use us as a reference any time. Thank you again for such a wonderful loving dog. Milton & Jo Ann 4/27/06
Misti, Just thought I'd send you a picture of Moose since he has his hear cropped. It's been about 2 weeks and I just took off his supports yesterday. He needs a breather. He is doing wonderful and has weighed in at 27.5 lbs a week ago. He is very mischievious. You just can't seemto ever get upset with him because he's got just a funny personality. He of course has to investigate everything that is around him especially when I go grocery shopping. He is always eating everything that is edible! He loves to shred new packs of toilet paper. Thank you so much for working with me to get him. We love him so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jacqueline 5/10/06
I took a new pic of Monte so you could see him. By the was he is 11 months and weighs 84 lbs!!!!!!!! It doesn't get much nicer. Let me know what you think and I cna't wait to see my baby's pics. As soon as I take new pics of the pups I will send them. Later guys, Bern 5/19/06
Hello Misti, Just wanted to let you know that Max is doing fine, and he is a big hit here in our town. Everyone keeps saying how they have never seen a black boxer, eveyone who sees him just loves him. I have seend the pics of you latest litter, they look AWESOME!!!! Mike 5/30/06
Hi Jody & Misti, Just wanted to let you know the kids are doing great. Chloe is such a good girl and just full of life from the time she gets up to bed time. Major follows her everywhere, they are like split and crack: Major is a big glumpfy pup, all legs and ears flying through the air. We had him to the vet about 2 weeks ago for his rabies/vacc and he weighed in at 26 lbs. We have looked at your new babies a couple of times, (Can't help myself). Hope all is going extremely well for you and that you may come visit some time or we can get out your way. Sincerely, Jon & Caroline 7/5/06
Hi Misti, The girls are doing great. I just took off the tape from the ears and I'm teaching them how to get out of the pool should they fall in. They swin real nice and gracefully and they love the water. I will take some pics and send them, they are great looking puppies. The trainer is already working with them on behavior and they are well behaved at the vet which is hard for puppies. Everyone loves them, as I tak them out more and have more exposure should anyone ask I will refer them to you. Sharon 7/12/06
Hey Misti, Diesel just had his first B-day! 5-27. On his AKC papres his name is LIttle Zeus. Tash said he acts like he is the ruler/god of the house so it fit him. I am very proud to have trained him and if I am around he still listens to me better than anyone else. Thanks Misti-I love Diesel with all my heart! He has a personality that is all about him! He demands the relationship he has with Tash and with me (grandma). He is very loved and he knows it. Just wanted you to know that we got a wonderful pup from you that is loving, protective and loyal to his family. He may not be the biggest dog on the block but he is the most loyal and fearless when it comes to his family. Talk to you soon, God Bless You, Anita, Tash and Diesel 7/12/06
Hi Misti, I just wanted to send some pics of my boy. I had originally picked Bruski as his name but my boyfriend and I looked at his family history and decdied to name him after his grandfather, Brutus. He is so friendly to all dogs and people as well. We take him every Saturday to obedience training and he is wicked smart. Every Wednesday he goes to a doggy day care facility that is like a huge dog amusement park. He loves playing with all the other dogs. Every night he goes for a walk in the neighborhood and everyone says how handsome he is. We love him so much. Kind regards, Jodi 7/28/06
Hi, Just thought I'd write to let you know Zeus is doing really well. He's starting to fill out more, his appetite has increased by double since we changed his food. We had him on Eukanuba puppy food and about 2 months afo we switched him to Royal Canin's boxer food, he absolutely loves it! You had said to try giving him cottage cheese, so he gets that as a treat every couple of days, he loves it so much he'll eat 3 1/2 cups of food within 10 mins, (not so good for us though, when he eats that quick he gets gas!). He's still full of energy, but he calms down quickly now when new people come around and he's very good at listening to commands now! Hope everything is good with all the dogs. Talk to you later, Rebecca 8/11/06
Hi Misti, Wyatt is coming up on 5 months, he is beautiful! He is the Anti-Christ, what you guys might consider, "great attitude". He is spoiled rotten and is trying to flunk out of puppy school. We all love him and we are hoping every day that we will regain control of our house. He brought in a bird for us the other day, he was so proud! I told him to bring me a Dove Bar! He brought me a Dove and de-feathered it in my Living Room! Don't you love dog doors? I will send you pics soon. Thanks again every day. We love Wyatt. Pam 8/11/06
Misti, I'm so glad you added his bartender pic! Just to let you know-I have always told Tash his name should have been George! Because he's so curious. He got into a hornets nest in her yard today! Yeah and got stung 4 times. He must have done it this morning before she went to work. When she got home an got him out of his crate he had welts on his back and his face was very swollen. She called the vet and got medication and the vet told her to take him outside and hose him down. Normally he would run and hide from her but he just stood there. It must have felt good. I talke to her around 8 and she said he is much better and the swelling has gone down. Pretty much he's back to his normal behavior. She was so upset that he was in his crate and in pain while she was at work. I wish you could see him. He has an I'm all that attitude. He is one of a kind-he lets you know when he wants you to love all over him and when he don't. Oh yeah he goes crazy when grandma (me) comes over and tries to go home with me every time. He sees me pick up my stuff and goes to the fence to wait. He's one smart baby boy! I just love him to pieces. God Bless and I'll send pics soon, Anita 8/17/06
I just thought I'd drop you a line to give you an update. Freya is doing great and loves driving her brother Thut nuts. She's already standing almost shoulder level with him and he's at 80 lbs. Her last vet visit a couple of weeks ago had her weighing in at 51 lbs. I'm sending you a picture of Thut and Freya on BBQ day. As you can see, she loves her BBQ ribs! I hope all is well, Becky, Thut & Freya 9/4/06
Hey Misti, I just wanted to give you an update on our little princess. She is doing GREAT!!!! I could not have asked for a better dog. Not only is she a perfect angel with us, but everyone she comes in contact with always remarks on how well behaved (and how beautiful) she is. Even the vet - he CONSTANTLY remarks on how strining her features are and what a beautiful dog she is. On top of that, our trainer, is ALWAYS remarking on what a wonderful Boxer she is. He has been training dogs for over 35 years, and he says that he cannot remember a Boxer with a better temperment. She is tryly a dream. My husband and I dote on her constantly - she is truly our little princess!!! It is so funny, my husband and I swore up and down that no dog would EVER sleep with up.....and yet, she's been sleeping in between us for months now!! I just wanted to thank you again. Not only is she well-behaved and sweet, but smart as a whip! Not to mention how beautiful she is! When we decide it's time for her to have a "little brother or sisiter", you will certainly he my first call!!! I'm attaching some pics. She's growing like a weed! She's getting so tall!!! I hope all is well with you & your family. Cory 9/6/06
